Argentine biometric solutions developer QuickPass has launched operations in the Mexican market, the firm said in a statement.

The company attracted apparel and shoe firm Nautica as its first customer in Mexico. Other clients include Giesso, Cardón, Samsonite, Arredo and Cutura.

The Brazilian unit of SAP (NYSE: SAP) has appointed Enrico Martellini as new vice president for the education industry in Latin America, the company said in a statement.

With SAP since 1997, Martellini's mission will be to renew the company's SAP Education portfolio and implement a new delivery model for courses and training to be more flexible and increase coverage.

In addition, the executive has become a member of the SAP Services Leadership Latin America and SAP Global Education teams.

Spanish travel and tourism platform supplier Amadeus Group has launched Market Pricing, an additional feature complementing its Amadeus Revenue Management solution, the company said in a statement.

The new feature will provide hoteliers with market intelligence insights combining publicly available rate information from web rate shoppers and the Amadeus system, enabling hotel revenue managers to have a holistic view of the market through the analysis of price trends, price fluctuations and benchmarks.

The Market Pricing feature is available as an optional module for Amadeus Revenue Management solution customers.

US chip manufacturer AMD (NYSE: AMD) has appointed Lisa Su as senior vice president and general manager for its global business units, the company said in a statement.

The executive will report directly to president and CEO Rory Read.

Su will oversee AMD's business units focused on the client, commercial, graphics, professional graphics, and game console markets. She will oversee the team responsible for driving end-to-end business execution of AMD's product solutions including strategy, product definition, and business plans.
