The Andean division of US Linux operating systems provider Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) has named Luisa Fernanda Méndez as sales manager, the company said in a statement.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Méndez worked for SAP (NYSE: SAP), where she held several sales and channel partner-related positions.

The executive has a degree in systems engineering from the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería in Bogotá.

The Chilean division of international tech consultancy IDC has named Natalia Vega as country manager, the company said in a release.

Vega has more than 16 years of experience and previously served as research and consulting manager for IDC.


Argentine food producer Cabaña Argentina has tapped the local division of Spanish IT consultancy firm Crystalis Consulting for a SAP implementation, Crystalis Consulting said in a release.

Crystalis implemented the SAP All-in-One solution to help Cabaña Argentina improve its business management.

Cabaña Argentina is present in Roque Pérez, San Andrés de Giles and Buenos Aires.


Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas (Bovespa: USIM5) has acquired a BPM solution from US software firm AuraPortal, the latter company said in a statement.

The software was implemented by AuraPortal's local partner company Core Synesis.
