The Argentine unit of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland has added new clients in the agribusiness segment, such as Maltería Oriental and Tecnoagro, the firm said in a statement.

Softland Argentina has more than 500 large and medium-sized clients, such as Electrolux Argentina and River Plate Athletic Club.

Grupo Softland has a presence throughout Latin America, with subsidiaries in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama and the Dominican Republic, representing 25,000 active clients.

Spanish IT consultancy Euclides has appointed Adolfo Fernández Méndez as country manager for its Argentine operation, Euclides said in a release.

The executive has more than 20 years of experience in the IT field and has worked for several firms including Inycom, Terra Lycos/Meta4 and Hipernet.

Euclides is a Microsoft Dynamics gold certified partner. In Latin America, the firm has operations in Mexico and Argentina.


US e-commerce solutions provider TouchCommerce has entered Brazil's market through a partnership with IT solutions provider iFactory, the former said in a statement.

Under the agreement, iFactory will market and implement the TouchCommerce suite of solutions in Brazil.

Founded in 2003, iFactory has offices in Brazil, the US, Chile and Mexico. It delivers IT services including software, consultancy, support, operations management, implementation, infrastructure, outsourcing and contact centers.


Spanish airline reservation platform supplier Amadeus has appointed Decius Valmorbida as executive VP for Latin America, Amadeus said in a release.

The executive holds a degree in IT from Brazilian university PUC-RJ and a graduate degree in management from Harvard University.
