The Argentine unit of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland has added local company Quetzal Química to its client base, the firm said in a statement.

Softland Argentina has more than 500 large and medium-size clients, such as Electrolux Argentina and River Plate Athletic Club.

Grupo Softland has a presence throughout Latin America, with subsidiaries in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama and the Dominican Republic, representing 25,000 active clients.

Brazilian construction company Construtora Celi has invested 3mn reais (US$1.9mn) to deploy SAP solutions, according to Brazilian IT firm Sonda Procwork, which was in charge of the implementation.

Sonda Procwork is a Brazilian unit of Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda. In Brazil, Sonda has 31 offices and some 1,200 active clients.


Qumulos, the cloud computing unit of Chile's Sonda, has participated in a global cloud computing forum organized by US firm VMware, the former said in a statement.

Qumulos said it was the only Latin American firm participating in the event.

The company provides software as a service and infrastructure as a service.


US IT firm Lyris has reached six clients across Latin America, the company said in a statement.

Latin American clients include Greenpeace in Argentina, Rede Eletrosom in Brazil, Casa Editorial El Tiempo in Colombia, Diners Club in Ecuador and Royal Resorts in Mexico.

The company has hired new staff and continues to expand to support its growing presence throughout the region.
