The Argentine unit of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland is looking to attract new partners in Córdoba province, which will also serve as a base to support clients in Santiago del Estero and Catamarca provinces, Softland said in a statement.

Softland Argentina has more than 500 large and medium-sized clients.

Grupo Softland has presence throughout Latin America, with subsidiaries in Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama and the Dominican Republic, representing 25,000 active clients.

Softline Argentina, the local unit of Russian software and IT services company Softline International, has appointed Gustavo Rodríguez as services department manager, the firm said in a statement.

The executive previously worked for Microsoft and CA.

Softline launched operations in Argentina last year, through the opening of an office in capital Buenos Aires.

Founded in 1993, Softline focuses on distributing software licenses, and services including integration, consulting, technical and legal support, as well as IT outsourcing.


Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda has renewed for five years an outsourcing contract with local labor security institute IST, the company said in a statement.

The contract was initially signed in 1999. It includes licenses to use different applications, support services and a new platform and continuity services.


Taiwanese electronics manufacturer BenQ has signed an agreement with wholesale IT products distributor Tech Data Corporation, through which the latter will distribute BenQ video and mobile products, Tech Data said in a statement.

Headquartered in Miami, Tech Data has an extensive network of distributors across Latin American markets.
