Sonda Procwork, a Brazilian unit of Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda, has appointed Cleomara Karvat as its new commercial manager for the SAP (NYSE: SAP) ERP segment in the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná, the firm said in a statement.

With 20 years of experience, the executive has previously worked for Xerox do Brasil, Datasul and GCI Informática.

In Brazil, Sonda has 31 offices and some 1,200 active clients.

Hélio Rotenberg, CEO of Brazil's largest PC manufacturer, Positivo Informática, has won the Valor Executive award in the IT Industry category for the fifth consecutive year, the firm said in a statement.

This award is given by the Valor Econômico newspaper to the best executives of each economic sector.

Founded in 1989, Positivo Informática operates through two business divisions -hardware and educational technology. The hardware division portfolio offers a complete line of PCs.


Brazilian IT services firm CPM Braxis Capgemini has appointed Sirlene Cavaliere as marketing and communications director, the firm said in a statement.

The executive previously worked for IBM, PWC, Bank Boston and White Martins/Union Carbide.

CPM Braxis Capgemini offers application services, infrastructure technology services and business process outsourcing (BPO). The firm has eight development centers and one data center in Brazil.


Research firm Forrester Research has recognized Latin American IT consultancy firm Neoris as a strong performer among SAP services providers in its April 2011 evaluation, Neoris said in a statement.

Forrester conducted SAP services evaluations in 2010 and interviewed 19 vendors and 186 user companies, finding that Neoris had one of the highest average ratings in client satisfaction.

Neoris offers systems integration, custom application development, IT consulting, and software deployment and support solutions.
