Miami-based Southeast Computer Solutions has appointed Mauricio Ramírez and Loren Agrenot as implementer and support representative, respectively, to serve SCS Sage ERP MAS 500 customers in Latin America, the firm said in a statement. Southeast Computer Solutions specializes in selling and providing ERP software, implementation and support to US companies with divisions and locations in Latin America. Headquartered in Miami, Southeast has offices in Buenos Aires and specializes in ERP solutions for distribution, warehouse automation and manufacturing. *** Softline Argentina, the local unit of Russian software and IT services company Softline International, has launched a division to exclusively provide customer care services, the firm said in a statement. Softline launched operations in Argentina last year, through the opening of an office in capital Buenos Aires. Founded in 1993, Softline focuses on the distribution of software licenses, and services including integration, consulting, technical and legal support, as well as IT outsourcing. *** US software company Argentis Consulting has been recognized as the SAP Business One 2010 regional software solution provider of the year for Latin America, Argentis said in a statement. SAP Business One is an ERP software application designed for small and midsized businesses. Argentis Consulting extends the core features of SAP Business One with certified applications like Apparel and Footwear, and e-Commerce, for SAP Business One. Headquartered in Miami, the company has offices in Buenos Aires and Córdoba, Argentina. *** The Brazilian unit of US IT solutions distributor Avnet Technology has opened an office in the city of Manaus, the firm said in a statement. The opening in the northern region is in line with the company's expansion plans for the Brazilian market, said company VP and country general manager Alexandre Barbosa.
