Digital business blog Tech Valley has launched operations in Argentina, Tech Valley said in a statement.

The digital blog has already kicked off operations in Spain, Brazil and Chile, and expects to launch local versions in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Mexico.

Tech Valley organizes live and virtual meetings in Spain and Latin America with the main goal of boosting digital entrepreneurship.

Chilean IT association Acti has appointed six new board directors in its latest annual members assembly, Acti said in a statement.

The new directors are Gilbert Leiva, Nicolás Chiappara, Luis Cuezzo, Roberto Icasuriaga, Jaime Alée and Jaime Soto.

Founded in 1984, Acti has 155 associated companies.

Mexican tax administration service Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) has selected US software firm Novell to bring its federal tax collection and investigation systems online, Novell said in a statement.

SAT selected Novell's compliance management platform to centrally manage the identities of 9mn taxpayers and 35,000 employees in a secure and compliant manner.

Canadian consultancy firm Procesix has offered an official course in Chile on CMMI version 1.3, the firm said in a statement.

Procesix specializes in process improvement through CMMI and other disciplines, including ITIL, COBIT and PMBOK.
