Brazilian IT and business process outsourcing firm Tivit has promoted Carlos Gazaffi to director of new outsourcing business, the company said in a release.

Gazaffi has 15 years of outsourcing experience, and has spent 10 years with Tivit.

The executive holds a graduate degree in IT management from Brazil's Fundação Instituto de Administração and an MBA from Pierre Mendès France.

US on-demand data security solutions provider Trustwave has hired Luiz Eduardo Dos Santos as SpiderLabs director for Latin America and the Caribbean, the company said in a statement.

The executive has more than 10 years of experience related to database and web security, as well as wireless devices.

With presence on four continents, SpiderLabs is an advanced security team within Trustwave that focuses on application security, incident response, penetration testing, physical security and security research.


Cuban tour operator Havanatur has acquired solutions from Spanish airline reservation platform supplier Amadeus, the latter company said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, Havanatur will have access to Amadeus' reservation and selling platforms.

Havanatur is headquartered in Havana, and also has agencies in Germany, Argentina, Bahamas, Canada, Chile, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, Russia and the UK.


Tripp Lite, a US company specializing in energy control systems, has kicked off a Latin American road show, the company said in a statement.

The event will pass through Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Chile and Colombia during 1H11.
