Brazilian software development group Totvs (Bovespa: TOTS3) has appointed Alejandro Dos Santos as the firm's Southern Cone services center manager, the company said in a statement.
The recently appointed executive previously worked for INSPECTORATE and ACSA Loss Control.
Totvs is a publicly listed system supplier providing business intelligence, human resources and supply chain solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. In 2004, Totvs began to target the public sector, and it now operates in vertical markets such as education, government, health and retail.
Security software vendor Kaspersky has been confirmed as a gold sponsor of Distree Latin America 2011, Distree said in a release.
Distree Events is expanding into the Latin American market in 2011, driven by demand from ICT and consumer electronics vendors for a regional channel development platform, the company said.
The first Distree event in Latin America will take place in Brazil from September 13-15, uniting vendors with distributors, resellers and retailers from across the continent.
The company already operates events covering Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.
eBaoTech, a leading insurance software solution provider has opened an office in São Paulo, Brazil, the firm said in a statement.
"The strategic location of the São Paulo office enables us to better serve our existing clients like ACE, Argo and others in the Americas," company CEO Woody Mo said.
The Brazilian office will work closely with other eBaoTech offices in the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA to provide its Latin American clients with full access to eBaoTech's global expertise, while providing localized services to its Brazilian clients, the firm said.
Viriato Leao will be in charge of the new office's operations, and will work with Rodrigo Borges, the firm's sales director for Latin America.
