VendTek Systems, a Canadian software developer and licensor for the global prepaid and financial services markets, has expanded its network to some 900 locations in Brazil, primarily in São Paulo state, as of August 31, the company said in a statement.
Since July, transactions processed through the network have grown an average 15% week-on-week. Dollar volumes processed have grown to more than 150,000 reais (US$84,000) a week, the company said.
The company has invested more than US$1.5mn to date to establish its network in the country.
"Our Brazilian subsidiary is now properly positioned for growth. We have built our operations, secured supply contracts with the top carriers and developed the technology and local integration capability to pursue multiple distribution strategies," company president and CEO Doug Buchanan said.
US document management software provider Ademero has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Ricoh Latin America, a provider of digital office equipment and advanced document management solutions and services, the former said in a statement.
Under the agreement, Ricoh will distribute Ademero document-imaging and document-management software and services throughout Latin America.
The agreement also enables Ricoh to act as key reseller of Content Central document-management software in the region, with exclusivity in nine countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia.
Content Central is a server-based solution that accepts scanned images of paper documents from any number of Ricoh devices and converts them into fully searchable digital documents.
Aeroméxico's frequent flyer program, Club Premier, and ezRez Software, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of travel and loyalty solutions, have signed a multiyear technology partnership that will create a new reward redemption experience for Club Premier members, the two companies said in a statement.
ezRez Software enables its partners to sell any combination of travel products, including air, car, hotel, trip activities, packaging and travel insurance. Its SaaS platform allows clients to easily launch online travel agency functionality.
Taiwanese company Transcend Information has signed a distribution agreement with Latin American IT distributor Intcomex, the former said in a statement.
Headquartered in Miami, Intcomex has subsidiaries in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama and Jamaica.
