Swiss internet security solutions provider WISeKey has formed a joint venture with private business development company Brasilinvest Group, to participate in the internet market for the energy industry, WISeKey said in a statement.

To protect the environment, clean energy distribution in Brazil will require a highly efficient, internet-based network that connects wirelessly, according to WISeKey founder and CEO Carlos Moreira.

The joint venture aims to address that need. According to Moreira, Brazil is well positioned to support the growth of cloud-based infrastructure, which will be key for future sustainable economic growth in the region.
