San Luis opens first digital school equipped with white boards, netbooks

Continuing its focus on ICT development, Argentina's San Luis province has inaugurated its first digital school, named after Albert Einstein, according to local media outlet Canal AR.

Equipped with digital white boards and netbooks to work at home and at school, 300 students will attend at the preschool, primary and secondary levels.

The education method at the school will focus on developing creativity through ICT, art and music. It will follow the core learning principles established by national law, but will have a strong orientation toward science and technology.

Secondary students will receive digital art education with instruction in areas such as digital maps and web design. This aspect aims to expand job prospects, as aligned with programs at the Universidad de La Punta, which has been a main driver in San Luis' ICT efforts.
