US flash memory card producer SanDisk (Nasdaq: SNDK) posted a US$233mn net profit in the third quarter of 2011, compared to US$322mn in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
SanDisk's global revenues reached US$1.42bn in Q3, a 15% increase compared to the year-ago period.
"We again delivered record revenue and strong profitability, driven by robust demand in our diversified end markets," company president and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said. "Our broad portfolio of innovative storage solutions positions us exceedingly well to capitalize on our numerous growth opportunities in smart mobile devices and consumer and enterprise computing platforms."
SanDisk has regional technical support offices in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Colombia.
