Software giant SAP's (NYSE: SAP) Brazilian unit has signed a technical cooperation agreement with local NGO Programa Gaúcho da Qualidade e Produtividade (PGQP), online news source Computerworld reported.
The agreement aims to provide, develop and upgrade management solutions for institutions associated with PGQP. It also provides PGQP with free use and maintenance of SAP Business One.
As such, SAP will contribute to PGQP initiatives to improve industry reliability, quality and productivity in Rio Grande do Sul state, and intends to share its knowledge of best management practices to improve sustainable development of local companies.
Founded in 1992, PGQP is a non-profit NGO seeking to promote and deploy the use of total quality management (TQM) concepts and tools in Rio Grande do Sul.
