SAP's sales in mass consumption market jump 118% in Q1

SAP (NYSE: SAP) saw its sales in the mass consumption segment in Argentina expand 118% year-on-year in 1Q11, SAP said in a statement.

With this result, Argentina showed one of the strongest performances in Latin America's mass consumption segment during this quarter, SAP said.

Increased activity in the country's agribusiness sector boosted sales in this segment. Some of SAP's clients in the local agribusiness segment includes Monsanto, Citrícola San Miguel, Citrusvil, Don Mario, Compañía Argentina de Levaduras and Agroaceitunera.
