Russian software and IT services company Softline International expects its Latin America revenues to expand 30% this fiscal year, ending March 2012, company regional director Igor Petlyakov told BNamericas.
The company also sees revenues from Latin America accounting for 3-5% of the global total this fiscal year. Petlyakov added that Argentine operations continue to be one of the company's regional growth engines.
"Latin America is the region with the highest growth rate for Softline globally," he said. The executive also said the company is studying whether to launch operations in Brazil and Chile in two or three years. But the strategy for the short and medium term is to consolidate the operation in the market where it already has presence.
Founded in 1993, Softline focuses on distributing software licenses and services including integration, consulting, technical and legal support, as well as IT outsourcing. At a global level, the company distributes products from 3,000 vendors.
In Latin America, the firm also has operations in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.
