Global software licensing company SoftwareOne expects its Brazilian operation to bill 90mn reais (US$51.4mn) this year compared to 65mn reais in 2010, the company's CEO for Latin America, Andre Fernandes, told BNamericas.
The firm is also looking to expand its partner network across the country, Fernandes said. "We currently have 420 partners, and we may end the year with a total of 450 partners in Brazil."
At the same time, SoftwareOne is not planning to open new offices in Brazil. "We have completed our expansion plan with a full reach across the country, where we have 23 offices," the executive said.
The company is seeing demand for software asset management, virtualization and unified communications, he added. Revenues from Brazil's market accounted for 84% of SoftwareOne's total regional revenues in 2010 and are expected to comprise 72% this year.
The company has had operations in Brazil since 2007. In Latin America, SoftwareOne also operates in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
