Global software licensing company SoftwareOne expects to launch operations in Bolivia and Ecuador during 2012, the company's CEO for Latin America, Andre Fernandes, told BNamericas.
The company is expanding its regional operations with several openings during 2011, including Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
Fernandes said Latin American revenues will account for some 6.8% of global revenues this year, compared to 4% last year. "Revenues this year are forecast to expand 130% compared to 2010," the executive said without providing hard figures.
Revenues from Brazil's market accounted for 84% of SoftwareOne's total regional revenues in 2010 and are expected to make up 72% this year, he added.
The company has had operations in Brazil since 2007. In 2010, SoftwareOne launched operations in several markets across the region, including Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Puerto Rico.
With global headquarters in Switzerland, the company has offices in more than 35 countries.
