Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda's Q1 net profits surged 25% year-on-year to 12.5bn pesos (US$26.9mn), compared with the 9.96bn-peso bottom line seen in 1Q10.
Revenues for the quarter were 127bn pesos, an increase of 43.6% when compared with same period in 2010, when a total 88.5bn pesos were posted.
Regarding revenue breakdown by business line, the IT services business contributed with 54.6% of consolidated revenues, while the platforms business generated 34.5% and applications services provided the remaining 10.9%.
According to the company, contributions from acquisitions made in 2010 in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina were the main drivers in Sonda's results.
