Sonda, Symantec partner on IT security

Friday, February 18, 2011

Sonda Procwork, the Brazilian unit of Chilean IT systems integrator Sonda, will partner with US security firm Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC) to offer integrated data protection solutions and services in Brazil, the companies announced in a statement.

Sonda and Symantec attributed the partnership to growing demand for security in the corporate sector. Greater reliance on e-commerce, mobile applications and cloud computing have driven companies to invest more in preventing data leaks, analyzing weaknesses and protecting core business processes.

Under the deal, Symantec will train Sonda employees to sell and support Symantec products.
