Silicon Valley-based firm Spigit, a provider of social innovation management software, has opened an office in Chilean capital Santiago in a move to capture growth opportunities in Latin America, the company said in a statement.
Spigit has so far recruited five channel partners across the region, the firm said.
"With nearly 600mn citizens and [more than] 100mn on social networks in the Latin America region, there is growing corporate demand to incorporate the power of collaboration and crowdsourcing to leverage the top ideas of employees, partners and customers," said the company's director for Latin America, Clifton Ashley.
Spigit is targeting all major industries in Latin America, with a focus on government, finance, manufacturing, telecommunications, mining, retail and technology.
The Chilean office is the company's second international landing, with the first office abroad opening in London in January.
