Brazilian IT solutions firm Stefanini closed a deal to market, implement and customize solutions from US IT supplier Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI) (NYSE: PBI), the companies said in a statement.
The partners intend to focus their joint efforts on banks, credit card companies and insurance providers. The financial sector, according to Stefanini, has shown strong demand for Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions to help reach clients through multiple media, from e-mail to SMS text messages. PBBI, furthermore, is keen to expand its portfolio from the telecom vertical in Brazil.
As Brazil prepares to host the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics, Stefanini and PBBI also plan to offer event management solutions, such as location intelligence tools to calculate regional consumption potential and network expansion strategies.
Under the arrangement, Stefanini will manage a customization unit for PBBI products, as well as a support center for clients.
Stefanini, present in the Brazilian market for 23 years, also maintains operations in 26 other countries. The company specializes in IT solutions for the financial, telecommunications, insurance and public sectors.
