Brazilian IT solutions provider Tecla Informática, part of the Alog Data Centers Group, has launched its first "payment per hour" IaaS (internet as a service) cloud solution, Tecla chief marketing officer (CMO) Christian Gallegos told BNamericas.
This way, the payment is more in tune with the real demand of data processing and storage used by the client, Gallegos said. According to the executive, this is the first time that this type of cloud solution is being offered in Brazil.
The so-called Cloud Elástica service is said to be more scalable than other solutions because it can be adjusted to less heavy periods of data traffic, Gallegos said. "This way, the cloud becomes 'elastic' - it can be adjusted not only in terms of [traffic] expansion, but also in terms of reduction."
The product specifically targets Brazil's SME market.
