Tecnoset nearly doubles revenues to US$49mn in 2010

Brazilian IT solutions company Tecnoset grew revenues 82% in 2010 to nearly 82mn reais (US$49mn), the company said in a statement.

The results were Tecnoset's best on record, and the firm expects to reach revenues of 110mn reais with 30% growth in 2011.

Moves such as the acquisition of fellow IT solutions company Original Brasil in May 2010 and strong performance by Tecnoset's network and security and government units brought on the banner year.

Tecnoset attributed 172% growth in the government sector to deals signed in 2009 and implemented in 2010, particularly in the country's northeast region. In 2011, the company expects continued growth for the vertical with strengths in Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo and Santa Catarina states.

Among its goals for 2011, Tecnoset anticipates incorporating Original Brasil's BPO expertise.

Tecnoset was founded in 1991 and today has 330 fulltime professionals. The company maintains its headquarters in Sao Paulo with affiliates in Campinas, Fortaleza and Recife.
