UNDP calls for expressions of interest for consultancy on Hondutel billing platform

Monday, September 5, 2011

The UN Development Program (UNDP) is calling for consultants to submit expressions of interest to define the bidding rules for implementing a billing platform for Honduran state telco Hondutel, the former said in a statement.

The system will allow Hondutel to have, on one integrated platform, all its data and processes related to client information, networks and invoicing. According to the release, the application should be adaptable to consider technical changes in the telecommunications industry.

Issues that bidders will have to identify and address include: detailed analysis of current billing systems; the investment needed to implement a real-time billing process; market analysis; the design of a billing solution for Hondutel; and the preparation of technical documents for the tender.
