United VARs, the global midmarket partner network of SAP consultants, aims to become the largest worldwide alliance of SAP consultants for the SME market, according to a release from Spanish IT consultancy firm Crystalis Consulting, part of the Seidor Group.
While United VARs has been operating since 2006, the global network was initiated by Seidor Group and German firm All for One Midmarket and was established together with four other SAP midmarket partners.
The network currently represents one of the largest alliances of SAP consultants for small and medium-sized enterprises, with 23 partners all together.
Initially, the network was launched with a focus on central Europe, but it now offers on-site services in more than 57 countries. The network generates annual sales volume of more than US$1.5bn.
At the recent United VARs annual meeting, SAP CFO Werner Brandt highlighted his company's support for the network. He noted that United VARs contributed a "significant" share of the 3.3bn euros (currently US$4.69bn) in sales revenue SAP reported during 2010. The executive said SAP would like to continue increasing the share in the coming years.
