Venezuela's largest telco Cantv (NYSE: VNT) has launched three flat rate billing plans for residential telephony and Internet service, Cantv residential services general manager Ramon Ramirez said in a statement.
Cantv is offering basic residential telephony for a monthly rate of US$60 (43,480 bolivars), unlimited basic Internet connection at US$28 per month, and a broadband ADSL plan at US$69 per month.
The ADSL plan has two additional variations, Medium and Total, which allow connection of 8 or 16 terminals, respectively. Broadband is available in Caracas, Valencia, Maracay, Puerto La Cruz, Barcelona, Puerto Ordaz, Maturín, Maracaibo, San Cristóbal and Barquisimeto, and Cantv plans to continue expanding the service to the rest of the country.
Cantv invested US$50mn during 2000 and 2001 to upgrade its network for these services.
