Brazilian local telephony and internet provider GVT (Bovespa: GVTT3) has expanded its high speed internet connection offer to five more municipalities, the company said in a statement.
Residents of cities Camboriú, Itajaí, Criciúma and Içara in Santa Catarina state and Pelotas in Rio Grande do Sul state, can now contract internet connections with speeds of 20Mbps.
In total, the offer is available in 43 cities throughout eight states and the Distrito Federal for 449.90 reais a month (US$195).
GVT's 20Mbps Turbonet MegaMAXX service was launched in April 2008 in 15 cities. The company expects to continue expanding the service offering to reach all its area of operations - more than 80 cities in 13 states and the Distrito Federal.
