Bolivian telecoms, transport regulator ATT director resigns
The director of Bolivia's telecoms and transport regulator ATT, Clifford Paravicini, has resigned amid controversy over the implementation of new ticket prices for bus trips between departments, local press reported.
Paravicini has been replaced by Luis Felipe Guzmán, who previously held the position of regulatory head of land and sea transport, according to local daily La Razón.
In October, Paravicini signed a resolution to allow the new prices to come into effect on January 2, which led to bus drivers raising their rates to higher than the levels permitted in a previous resolution from December 2006.
