Mexico regulator issues opinion on shared network tender

Mexican telecom regulator IFT announced that it issued its opinion on matters of economic competence to the consortium interested in bidding for Mexico's wholesale shared network.

The IFT stressed that, based on transparency and public information access rules, it will not disclose its resolutions or information related to the participating parties until communications and transport ministry SCT opens the technical proposals. This event is scheduled for October 20.

Although there is no public information regarding the companies that want to develop the wholesale network, Finnish firms have expressed interest in providing services to the winning consortium.
