US$1.1bn water PPP set to advance in Colombia
The US$1.1bn PPP project to provide a new aqueduct and sewerage system to the Colombian city of Santa Marta (Magdalena department) is poised to advance tomorrow as authorities from the housing ministry and the city administration will meet in Bogotá to discuss the technical recommendations.
Meanwhile, the city government said that it has already submitted a modified version of the project for review, which addresses the ministry's recommendations.
The housing ministry had previously stated that these recommendations were needed to get approval for the technical feasibility before the change of government in August. Financing, howerver, will have to be addressed by the upcoming administration.
