Puerto Rico's water utility AAA has launched two tenders worth a combined US$14.2mn for water distribution infrastructure in the Quebradillas and Villalba municipalities, according to a release.
In Quebradillas, work will cost an estimated US$12.4mn and involves construction of a distribution system. The project entails building five water storage tanks and three pumping stations, installation of water transmission lines and paving works.
Meanwhile, in Villalba, work involves building a US$1.73mn potable water filtration plant that is expected to benefit 140,000 residents in the municipalities of Villalba, Juana Díaz, Santa Isabel and Coamo.
Bids for both tenders are due by January 25.
