Work includes construction of a reservoir, water intake, expansion of a filtering plant and construction of the transfer pipeline, pumping stations and water tanks.
The tender process will be carried out in two phases. The qualification period will be open until October 31, after which AAA will shortlist companies to enter the request for proposals phase, the authority said in a release.
Bidding rules will be available from AAA as of September 19 and an obligatory meeting will be held October 6.
The transfer line is part of the US$250mn Valenciano water project, which also includes a US$24.3mn potable water plant.
The project is expected to benefit 52,500 residents in the towns of Juncos, San Lorenzo, Las Piedras and Gurabo.
