Argentina's Buenos Aires province aims to reach 100% potable water coverage in the greater Buenos Aires area within the next four years.

The province's 2011-12 strategic water and waste program also aims to achieve 100% wastewater collection coverage in eight years, the provincial government said in a release.

Under governor Daniel Scioli, the province has increased coverage of potable water and wastewater collection to 70% of the local population. Coverage was at 40% in 2008.
