Chile's Cautín province in southern region IX has opened the Huilio-Rehuelhue rural potable water pipeline in Teodoro Schmidt municipality, budgeted at 530mn pesos (US$1.1mn).
The new pipeline will benefit roughly 752 residents, paper El Austral reported.
Works were carried out by the waterworks division of Chile's public works ministry (MOP) and included installing a water intake and pumping system. MOP also financed the project.
