Argentina's Chaco province water utility Sameep has launched a 210mn-peso (US$50mn) tender to build a potable water treatment plant, pipelines and distribution centers for several local towns.
Bids are due to be opened by November 18, local daily Data Chaco reported.
Work is slated to begin in the first quarter of next year and wrap up in 24 months, and entails building 152km of pipelines to channel water from an intake on the Bermejo river.
Additional work involves a potable water treatment plant with capacity to produce 500m3/h, as well as a pumping station.
Financed through the government's Norte Grande development program, the project will benefit towns Presidencia Roca, Pampa del Indio, Laguna Limpia, Las Garcitas, Ciervo Petiso, Colonias Unidas and Capitán Solari.
