Uruguay's executive branch has proposed a new president and VP of state-owned water utility OSE.
Milton Machado, the former head of sanitation infrastructure firm Consorcio Canario, is expected to take on the role of president, while OSE's current secretary-general Daoiz Uriarte will take on the role of new VP.
The proposed officials must be approved by Uruguayan legislators before taking over, which should happen in a month's time, according to a presidential release.
President José Mujica asked former OSE president Carlos Colacce and VP Alicia Araújo to step down in February due to problems with coordination.
