The Dominican Republic's President Leonel Fernández inaugurated two potable water pipeline works on Thursday (Sep 1), according to a government release.
The San Ignacio de Sabaneta pipeline system in Santiago Rodríguez and the incorporation of 16 communities in Montecristi province to the Línea Noroeste pipeline cost a combined 387mn pesos (US$10.1mn).
Work was carried out by national potable water and drainage authority Inapa.
The two systems will serve a total of 49,000 residents.
