Foncodes spending over US$4mn on rural development works

Peru's rural development cooperation fund Foncodes is spending 12.0mn soles (US$4.25mn) on 38 basic infrastructure and water projects in the country's poorest areas.

Work includes improving irrigation and potable water supply and building pedestrian bridges, school infrastructure, and more, government news agency Andina reported.

Projects will be carried out in 13 regions, benefiting 83,649 residents.
