Govt seeks consultants for IDB drainage project

The Honduran government has called for expressions of interest for drainage consultation services in the metropolitan district.

The awardee will analyze the existing drainage network, create procedure manuals and organize and manage data collection.

Construction of a sanitary sewerage and storm drainage system is included in the country's water and sanitation investment program, supported by a US$30mn IDB loan.

The program as a whole aims to ensure the efficient and sustainable provision of potable water and sanitation and to increase municipal capacity to provide such services. IDB has agreed to provide technical support as well as fund public works, according to the loan contract.
