Officials from Panama's state-run water utility Idaan have visited the offices of Brazil's São Paulo state water utility Sabesp to learn more about how the company manages its waterworks programs.

The visit, which took place during the second week of May, aimed to help Idaan implement a rational water use program and adopt a new commercial and operational management model.

Idaan aims to decentralize its management and carry out work based on regional business units similar to those used by Sabesp, the Brazilian utility said in a release.
