Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Panama's government has agreed a US$4.42mn contract between the national water utility Idaan and local construction firm Aprocosa for adaptation works at the potable water plant in Sabanitas, Colón province.

Idaan aims to eliminate operational difficulties such as low capacity and infrastructure problems at the plant, according to a government release.

Repairs are required so the plant, which has received no maintenance for the past two decades, can meet the demand from the increasing population in the area.
