San Luis Potosí expands water, sanitation coverage

San Luis Potosí municipal government in Mexico's San Luis Potosí state has invested 387mn pesos (US$27.7mn) in two years to boost sanitation and drainage coverage to 97.3%, local paper El Sol de San Luis Potosí reported.

Some 149 works were carried out and involved the installation of sewerage and drainage pipelines and 4,671 organic toilets in communities of less than 500 people.

The state's social and regional development ministry Sedesore has also invested 375mn pesos in potable water initiatives.
