Argentina's San Luis province government has received two bids for a tender to complete work on the Nogolí potable water pipeline, budgeted at 122mn pesos (US$29.1mn).
A group comprised of construction firms Rovella Carranza and Green submitted an offer of 155mn pesos, while Constructora San Luis SAPEM bid 163mn pesos.
The 658km pipeline system will channel water from the Nogolí reservoir at a rate of 100l/s, crossing through 25 towns in departments Belgrano, Ayacucho and Pueyrredón.
Work will be carried out in three phases, the first of which will wrap up in six months. The entire project is slated for completion in 12 months.
