Argentina's Santa Fe government is preparing a tender to build stage I of the Reconquista potable water pipeline, budgeted at 122mn pesos (US$30mn).
First-stage works include building an intake and conduction pipeline on the Correntoso river as well as a pumping system and distribution network.
The government plans to tender the second and third stages of the project by year-end, which will cost 125mn pesos and 126mn pesos respectively.
The overall project is expected to be completed by 2015, the provincial government said in a release.
The project will supply water for 100,000 residents in cities Avellaneda, Reconquista, Fortín Olmos, Nicanor Molinas and El Arazá.
