Around 25 Brazilian state water and sewerage utilities will meet on Friday (May 20) in Bahia state capital Salvador to discuss ways to simplify the process of obtaining loans for waterworks projects.

During the meeting, state sanitation companies association Aesbe will introduce a preliminary document mapping out ideas, according to an Aesbe release. The suggestions will later be submitted to the cities ministry and federal savings bank Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF).

The meeting will also discuss an agreement between Aesbe and IDB aimed at providing technical and other training for water utility employees.
