The Alicia copper project is 100% owned by Toronto-based Straight Minerals Corp. The project's 26km2 property is located in Peru's Cusco region, within the Andahuaylas-Yauri metallogenic belt. Alicia is in a porphyry-skarn jurisdiction that extends for over 300km in a northwest-southeast direction, and includes Glencore Xstrata's Antapaccay mine, Minmetals' Las Bambas project, First Quantum's Haquira project and HudBay Minerals's Constancia mine. Straight Minerals completed a 15-hole drill program at Alicia in 2011, with results showing copper-gold-silver values over a strike length of 600m along the northern porphyry-limestone contact. In December 2014, Straight announced plans to merge with Vancouver-based Montan Capital Corp. to form Montan Mining Corp. Montan said that an updated geological report on Alicia, in accordance with NI43-101 standards, will be completed in conjunction with the transaction.
