Description: The Cupisnique wind farm is part of the INKA wind power complex in Peru. It will generate 80MW using 45 aerogenerators of 125m in height and is being developed by Energía Eólica, a subsidiary of US firm ContourGlobal. The complex comprises two wind farms: Talara, located near the city of Piura, and Cupisnique, near the city of Trujillo. The complex is designed to produce 113MW and includes 62 Vestas V100 1.8MW wind turbines. A 20-year power purchase contract was secured at the 2010 renewables auction held by the Peruvian government. The project is developed by Energía Eólica, local unit of the US company Countour Global.
