Description

The Concepción-Cabrero highway project consists of designing, building, operating, maintaining and upgrading a road connecting the cities of Concepción, Florida, Yumbel, Cabrero and Yungay in Chile's Biobío region (VIII). The project includes converting road between route No. 5 and Agua de la Gloria into a four-lane divided highway. Additionally, stretches between route No. 5 and the Bonilla roundabout, and route No. 0-97-N, will be improved to allow vehicles to travel at speeds of 80-100km/h. The project has been developed as a public-private partnership (PPP) with the contract awarded to concessionaire Valles del Bío-Bío (51% Concesiones Viales Andinas S.A, 24.5% Inversiones Camino Uno S.A, 24.5% Inversiones Auguri Ltda.)
